Boardmaker Studio is the newest version of the Boardmaker family of software. 

With the move in our schools to Windows 7, Boardmaker Studio will be the only Boardmaker program available for use by the fall of 2012.

Boardmaker Studio puts a "fresh spin on a familiar favorite".  It continues to be a great tool for creating print activities (e.g. communication boards, schedules, theme pages etc.) as well as a program that can produce interactive activities. The new Boardmaker provides a new interface called Studio Connect that allows access to all the new templates as well as access to a community of activities through Boardmaker Share.

It is anticipated that all Educational Assistants will need to have training on the new version of Boardmaker as it will continue to be an important component of programming for students requiring visual supports.

The 1/2 day session will be hands-on to give an introduction to the new program. Morning and afternoon sessions are planned and registration is on a first come basis. Maximum number of participants for each workshop is 25.

If you are unsuccessful in registering in time for the June 8^th workshops we will be offering another opportunity on a P.D. Day in the fall.

Morning sessions run from 9:00 – 11:30 am

Afternoon sessions run from 1:00 – 3:30 pm

NVCI - 6 Hour Certification Workshop - Bluewater Education Centre (Chesley)

9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

This workshop is the basic 6 hour certification and it is now mandatory that all Educational Assistants in our Board have completed this certification program. 

As well, you must re-certify every 2 years either with the full 6 hour workshop or a 4 hour refresher.

Minimum – 25 participants

Maximum – 35 participants
